I dived into my new HTC Desire, enabling every link and service possible.
I would be updated constantly on Flickr, FaceBook, Twitter and Google updates. With everyone being able to constantly know where I was, what I was doing and which pictures I was taking. Live Life to the fullest in a new digital connected world.

Now I have network communication set to off until I need it and use Wifi when I’m at home.

In most case you would expect me to get the device out of the box and fire it up immediately. Which I didn't. I took out the 4 Gig Micro SD card and backed up everything that was on it. To be honest this is a step you could skip as the contents aren't that great anyway.

For me the counting down has started. Come Monday (or Tuesday) I will be ordering my new toy. A toy in a long history of Smartphone toys.
(Update it is ordered) I see this transition (from history of Windows Mobile) as the coming of the age I have been waiting to come when I got hooked on my first Smartphone.

The series first two parts of PBS Nova's Evolution are a bit boring compared to the rest of the series, giving more background into the history of Charles Darwin. After the two parter it gets a lot more interesting delving into many aspects that have helped influence evolution.

If you want to fall asleep. The 8 Part Magical Egypt Documentary series can help you do this. There was a time when I had part two fully up on Google Video, but the creators complained and it got removed. That didn't stop others from uploading it in parts to YouTube.

If anything good came out of Google Video besides funny kitten movies, then it must be this amazing and provocative documentary from BBC, made by master amazer Adam Curtis. It's an exploration that looks at the roots of the present day consumerism and how they came up with the idea to keep us docile and diverted.
Century Of Self has been awarded numerous of prestiges documentary awards.
This one, is on the top of my personal recommendations for On-line Must See's.

- Image is not pulled from Google Servers anymore, but uses a 16x16 blob.
- Button now also grabs description to post to Google Reader/Buzz.
-Script parses and replaces single quotes ' with &#39; from the desciption.

Now I'm planning on spending less money on a new Device this year and only take a one year contract renewal. The Cheapest option would be to go with the HTC Hero. But to be more on the Edge the Desire is a cool option. So for now I wi keep the conclusion undisclosed. :)
